"Eli's investigation of his friend Nora's disappearances has led him to the Dream Parlor, a government-promoted facility which induces lucid dreams in its clients, allowing them to consciously participate in any dream of their choosing. Eli is unmoved by the Parlor salesman's pitch until he realizes that specific people can be included in his dreams as well. Pulling an unfinished drawing from his pocket–a drawing which bears striking resemblances to a woman he's seen recently on the subtrain–Eli finally becomes enthralled by what the Dream Parlor has to offer . . ." |
